Taking to Facebook, PDRM KULIM KEDAH shared that a police officer is currently under investigation for stealing money from a missing wallet on 8 July 2022.

Believed to have taken place at the Kulim Hi-Tech Police Station, the victim claimed that the wallet was handed over to the police, before its contents went missing.

Here are several inputs on the incident.

The story began when a Samaritan who found the missing wallet, handed it over to the police, which had RM200 inside of it.

When the victim received the wallet back, everything was in place except for the RM200.

“When my brother went to claim the wallet, RM200 was missing. He was lucky that there was proof from a photo shared by the person who handed it over to the police.”

“When he showed Facebook photo as proof, the police officer took out the RM200 from his pockets and paid my brother back!”

To further prove that the police officer allegedly took the money out of the victim’s wallet, a special RM1 note given by the victim’s mother fell out of the officer’s pockets! Shame!

The netizens shared that the police officer in question claimed that he was very ‘gentlemanly’ for returning the money.

“Your ‘gentleman’ act was nowhere to be found when you first took the money from the wallet.”

In their Facebook status, the Kulim District Police Department writes that no report has been lodged on the incident and advises those involved to do so.

“The police will carry out an investigation and will not hesitate to take action against anyone found guilty, including police officers.”
