M’sians Urge Govt To Take Action & Improve The Appalling Conditions That Students In Sabah Face Daily
Taking to Facebook, Borneo Voice shared horrifying images of school children getting into a packed skiff on their way to school.
Clearly operating over its intended capacity, the Facebook post mentioned that this was a common sight for schoolchildren of Kg. Pituru and Timbang Taun on their daily journey to SK Mangkapon, Pitas.
“This is a common sight of kids heading to SK Mangkapon every morning.”
“They have no other way to catch the attention of the government or NGOs other than to make this issue go viral.”
“School children are made to board this small skiff for over a year now, but no action has been taken so far.”
“They are asking for a bigger boat and life jackets. Let’s not wait until tragedy strikes now shall we?”
Let’s hope that this post gets the attention that it needs, especially from those put in charge to care for the wellbeing of folks in Pitas, Sabah.
