Perak residents will be getting a new international flight route soon, which would connect Ipoh to Bangkok, Thailand.

Accordingly, the Perak State Government is currently holding discussions with the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) regarding the flight route as there are airlines in Thailand which are actively promoting various tour packages to attract tourists from the country to Perak.

As reported by BERNAMA, Perak State Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee chairman Loh Sze Yee said that tourism players in Perak are asked to prepare for receiving the influx of tourists from Thailand.

These include learning some dialects of the Thai language, as well as their customs and culture so that it would be easier to connect with Thai tourists more effectively.

Loh asserted,

“Apart from traditional tourists, such as from China, we want to attract as many tourists as possible from Thailand, considering that Perak shares a border with Thailand,”
