Delivery food services are of great help during this movement control order (MCO) and food riders are working tirelessly day and night to ensure we get our food at home.

However, there are some people who are taking advantage of this service and delivering illegal substances across the Klang Valley, threatening the safety of the food riders.

According to Astro Awani, a delivery worker had received an order at 7pm on Monday (13 April) to deliver a package from Tropicana, Petaling Jaya to Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

While in the Gombak area, the delivery worker opened the package because he was feeling uneasy and found that the package contained two transparent packets of suspected drugs hidden between two pieces of roti canai.

The delivery worker immediately lodged a police report and the case is currently being investigated under Section 6 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, Gombak District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Arifai Tarawe said.

He also added that they are investigating the suspect.
