PDRM Arrests M’sian Man After He Was Accused of Sodomising a 19yo Man with Autism in PJ

The Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters received a police report regarding the sodomy of an autistic man on November 6 2024 at 4:44 AM.

In a statement shared on Facebook, the Petaling Jaya District Police revealed that a 19-year-old autistic man is suspected to have been sodomised in Taman Putra Damai, Petaling Jaya.

The suspect was the victim’s neighbour

Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Shahrulnizam Bin Ja’afar revealed how the incident is suspected to have been carried out by a man, who is a neighbour of the victim.

He also added that, following the filing of the report, the suspect was arrested on the same day (November 6) at approximately 5:40 AM for further investigation.

A remand for the suspect was granted

An investigation paper has been opened in connection with this report, and the case is being investigated under Section 377C of the Penal Code.

A remand application under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code was granted by the Petaling Jaya Magistrate’s Court, starting from 06 November 2024 until 12 November 2024.
