The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) recently arrested 7 males, including a 14-year-old boy, at 2 condominium units in Salak Selatan, Kuala Lumpur, for being part of an online gambling and scam syndicate.

As reported by BERNAMA, Cheras district police chief ACP Zam Halim Jamaludin revealed that the condominium units served as call centres for the syndicate’s operations and raked in approximately RM13 million a month.

During the raid at 1pm on Thursday (October 5), the Cheras Commercial Crime Investigation division arrested the suspects and seized various equipment. The latter includes 4 units of monitors, 8 CPU units, 18 handphones and 3 modems believed to have been used for the aforementioned illegal activities.
