A recent incident left three women shaken after they were reportedly approached by an unknown man on a motorbike who allegedly exposed himself and made an obscene sexual gesture towards the women in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The story was shared by Dora (@dorabierenny) on Instagram, who said the incident happened on Jalan 20/13, Taman Paramount, at around 10:20 PM on 16 August while the women were catching up and sitting on the steps just outside her restaurant.

The incident was captured on a nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera, showing a man on a motorbike fitted with what appeared to be a delivery box stopping in front of the women.
Realising what had happened, the women immediately ran off as the rider rode away, with one reportedly so shaken that she could not stop crying.
“The girls were terrified and immediately ran over to seek help. One of them was so shaken that she couldn’t stop crying. And because everything happened so suddenly, none of them managed to get the motorbike’s number plate. All they could remember was that the man was slightly plump and had a darker complexion.
“I have encouraged the girls to make a police report. While the footage may not be clear enough to identify the man immediately, I believe sharing this can at least give them a voice and raise awareness in our community.” the post read.
Screenshots of a conversation between Dora and one of the victims revealed that this wasn’t the first time they had encountered the same man.
The victim claimed that the first incident happened on 4 May, when she and another friend were sitting in the same area, and the man suddenly exposed himself and began engaging in an indecent act.
“He exposed himself, started masturbating and even moaned. The second time, he had already exposed himself but didn’t manage to masturbate because we quickly left,” she said.
Restaurant owners step up to ensure public safety
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Dora said she and a neighbouring cafe are also planning to introduce extra safety measures for their female customers, especially during late hours.
These include accompanying female customers to their cars and providing a drive-through pick-up service for takeaway orders at night.
“It may be a small gesture, but we hope these extra measures will give our female patrons greater peace of mind and help them feel safer when visiting our neighbourhood at night. Their safety matters to us.
“We may also put up posters around the neighbourhood to raise awareness about this man. Unfortunately, the CCTV footage isn’t very clear, which makes it more difficult to identify him.”
Dora later explained that she decided to speak up about the incident to raise awareness and help keep those living and working in the neighbourhood safe.
“As a business owner, I know that sharing an incident like this happening right outside our premises may feel like I’m shooting myself in the foot, as it could indirectly discourage people from visiting the area at night. The post was never about publicity or getting attention. It’s about creating awareness, making sure this matter is taken seriously, and seeing that it’s addressed properly.
“This person needs to be identified and caught. He has already caused enough fear and trauma for women in our area, and we shouldn’t wait for another incident to happen before taking action,” she added.
At the time of writing, the victims have yet to make a police report, and there have been no official updates on whether the suspect has been identified.
