Many are struggling during the Movement Control Order (MCO) because they have lost their income and are unable to make ends meet. Fortunately, some non-governmental organisations have stepped in to help those who are in need by donating food supplies and funds.

Asthma Malaysia is one of the organisations that is helping people in hardships by supplying basic food necessities such eggs and sardines. In collaboration with Persatuan Siswazah Wanita Malaysia, they have launched an initiative known as Project “OPS Telur Sardin”.

According to Asthma Malaysia’s Facebook page, this initiative was spearheaded by Dr Imran Hafidz from Universiti Malaysia to help the less fortunate.

Asthma Malaysia also works as a platform that strives to be a reliable and credible online asthma resource and guide for patients and healthcare workers alike. Their Facebook page has over 100,000 likes and they often organise programs regarding asthma awareness.

Through this project, they donate basic necessities such as bags of rice, cooking oil, flour and many more to families who are striving to make ends meet. Asthma Malaysia and Persatuan Siswazah Wanita Malaysia welcomes donations from the public to continue helping the less fortunate.
