Nga Kor Ming: Compounds Will be Issued Immediately to Those Who Throw Rubbish From Their Car

Many people have the habit of eating in the car, as it saves time, especially during a road trip. However, some of these people also throw garbage out of their cars when the vehicle is moving.

As this contributes to dirtying the environment, the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has instructed the local authorities to issue compounds immediately to people who throw litter from their cars, reported BERNAMA.

“PBT will issue a compound and make sure the individuals pay. Strict action will be taken and those who litter will be held responsible.”

“We all attended school, and we all have Civics education, so it is the responsibility of all parties to look after cleanliness in the public areas. We don’t just hand the job to PBT workers. We also know the weather is scorching hot right now, so please have mercy on our workers who are working hard to clean those areas,” he continued.

The minister added that people should keep the rubbish with them in the car and only dispose of it in bins when they find one, “Therefore, if you want to eat in the car, place the packets in the car first. When you arrive at your village or hometown, then take it out and throw it in the bin.”

“Don’t arbitrarily throw it on the side of the road and expect someone else, our employees, to pick it up after you.”

It’s already 2024 and in this day and age, we’re perplexed as to why some people would choose to dirty the environment rather than wait a while. Everyone shares the environment, and every individual has a shared responsibility for it.
