The Malaysian entertainment industry is one that is growing rapidly now, and we can see this with the emergence of really good quality films such as The Ghost Bride on Netflix and also a few of Yuna’s MVs.
Needless to say, everyone is trying to come up with fresh ideas and better quality stuff. However, this artist, Andi Bernadee is now under fire for putting out a seemingly sensual music video of himself as a vampire sucking on the blood of multiple women. Here is the music video.
The music video starts off with a huge amount of fake blood and the main character, Andi Bernadee, looks unnaturally pale. He lurks around alleys to catch scantily-clad women off guard and then drinks their blood by biting their neck. He then moves on to the next victim while leaving the women to bleed out to their death. The MV ends with a big plot twist, but we’re not gonna spoil it for you.
Ever since this MV was released, many people have had mixed reactions towards it, and they took their opinions to social media. Here’s what some of them said:
One said Andi’s MV was disgusting, obscene and overly sexy. They also said that by biting the women’s necks, it lowers their dignity and embarrasses them as Muslims.
Another person basically says the same thing but adds that the neck biting scenes were not necessary as a Muslim.
Speaking their mind, this netizen then took note of the similarities that this MV had with a few other mainstream Western music videos.
