Anime is a big part of our lives for a lot of us as it offers a temporary escape from reality. Some of the most famous anime series recently are Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) and Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan).

Seeing how successful anime is, Netflix is now offering a scholarship in collaboration with WIT STUDIO. WIT STUDIO is behind the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and The Ancient Magus’ Bride.

This animator scholarship will be offered to 10 students regardless of nationality, however, Japanese residency is required. For anyone who is not Japanese, you don’t need to have exceptionally good Japanese language skills, just being able to carry everyday conversations will be fine, stated Sora News 24.

The best thing is, the students will not need to pay a single cent during the duration of the 6-month course, Netflix even pledged to foot the living expenses of the students. In return, after the course ends, these students will be retained as subcontracted animators whose work will include creating anime for Netflix under WIT STUDIO or its sister studio.

The applications are currently open on WIT STUDIO and it will end on 28 February. You can get more information and access the site here.
