The Negeri Sembilan government is currently looking into a viral video apparently showcasing a housing project being constructed near a gas pipeline route in Sendayan.

According to a report by Kosmo, the state’s Local Government Development, Housing and Transport Action Committee chairman, J. Arul Kumar, shared that his party has instructed their local council (PBT) to check if the construction has entered the gas pipeline reserve there.

“The gas pipeline route is not under Petronas, but under Gas Malaysia. It is understood that it is a small pipe connection from a large pipe to the surrounding industrial area, and is located in the road reserve.”

“Warning signs are indeed placed there. I have informed the developer and the PBT to review this project and the work near the gas pipeline,” he said.

Prior to this, a netizen shared a video on TikTok showcasing the construction work taking place near the gas pipeline, causing concern among Malaysians.
