M’sians, You Will Be Getting Your 2nd Round Of BPN Payments Starting 21 January!

Many are looking forward to hearing about the payment of the second phase of the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN 2.0). According to the payment schedule issued last year, the second payment is expected to be credited in January 2021.

Just a moment ago, a report from Sinar Harian said that the second payment of BPN 2.0 will be credited to 11.06 million recipients starting 21 January.

According to the Minister of Finance, Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, the payment will be issued to the accounts of B40 recipients.

As for the M40 recipients, the payment will be credited into their account on 25 January.

Recipients who do not have a bank account can claim their BPN 2.0 Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branches.

He said that BSN will issue a standard operating procedure guide (SOP) in the near future.

As for recipients in Sabah and Sarawak who don’t own a bank account, payment will be issued as early as February until 1 April.

“The location of the money claim will be announced at the end of January,” Tengku Zafrul said.

The total number of BPN 2.0 recipients comprises of 11.06 million people including 5.82 million single individuals and 5.24 million household recipients.  The total amount of issued payments is recorded at RM7.18 billion so far.
