We Malaysians have seen many cases where VIPs or VVIPs misuse their power to escape traffic jams.

However, this is probably the first time we see a politician “lend” his police escorts to an ambulance.

A dashcam footage uploaded on TikTok by Bengkel Minda has gone viral with more than 160,000 views and 9,000 likes.

In the video, we can see that the road was quite congested and cars were moving slowly as it was almost 8 am on December 9. It is said that this road is somewhere near Kajang.

Suddenly, we can hear the sound of an ambulance siren.

The ambulance was escorted by multiple police officers and following behind is more police vehicles. As ambulances do not typically have police escorts, many people were definitely perplexed.

Soon after, the mystery was solved as people saw our prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s car behind. It seems that our PM “lent” the ambulance some of his police escorts so that it will not be stuck in traffic.

Many netizens made active comparisons to the time when an ambulance needed to make way for a VVIP convoy.

“If I’m not wrong, back then some minister stopped an ambulance just because they wanted to go first. I forgot who,” they said sarcastically.”

Others were very happy that Anwar is our PM.

One netizen said, “it’s rare to see Malaysian leaders do this, more so a Prime Minister. He is getting better day by day.”

Another asked the prime minister to continue fighting for the nation and the rakyat.

We certainly hope that the person in the ambulance is better now!
