The flash floods have led to the rise of many local heroes who have selflessly volunteered to help those in need. Local companies have also pledged to help those in need by offering services, items and even financial support.

Recently, it was announced by Decathlon Malaysia that in light of the recent floods, they would be temporarily suspending all sales of their inflatable kayak boats, stand up paddle, paddles and life jackets in order to keep a complete stock available for priority for the official NGOs and Malaysian authorities.
