Living in an apartment building can have its challenges as you have to share common areas and facilities with other residents who may not see eye to eye with you.

There have also been many instances of people blatantly misusing these common areas and facilities for their own selfish needs, but this particular example has got to be one of the most absurd ones we’ve seen yet.

Parking Di Rumah Flat

As shared by social media user Ekhmal Ezdihar in the B40 Buat Prengai Apa Harini Facebook group recently, a covered parking spot at a Malaysian apartment building can be seen being converted by one of the residents into a caged “garage”.

Based on the photo, it looks like the caged area encompasses around two parking spots, with a motorcycle being parked inside.

Of course, such an intrusive renovation at a shared facility such as a parking lot was bound to be criticised by Malaysians.

In the comments section, many netizens poked fun at the absurdity of the caged garage and wonders what was going through the resident’s mind when building the thing.

One commenter sarcastically said that the resident dreams of a bungalow but don’t have enough funds, while another claimed that only someone with the necessary ‘connections’ would dare to do such a renovation.

Besides that, one commenter advised the resident to learn how to be a good neighbour and respect public parking spaces.

So, what do you guys think of the caged garage at the apartment? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
