Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks is no stranger to any Malaysian craving for Taiwan’s street food and while they already have a solid range of yummy and sinfully-addictive goodies on their menu, they are surprising us with another mouth-watering new snack that is popular in Taiwan!

This time, they are adding an absolutely delicious-looking loaded potato known as Royal Cheese Potato in the menu and it will be available starting from 16 October! Shihlin had already announced a little teaser about the arrival of the awesome snack a few days ago on their social media accounts but it officially goes on sale on 16 October for all outlets in Singapore and Peninsular Malaysia.
According to Eat Pray Love Malaysia, the deep fried loaded potato is already available and it seems that the crowd just can’t get enough of this new snack. Shihlin described the snack as “Deep fried fluffy potato combined with rich, melted cheese sauce and garnished with fresh savoury add-ons.” Sounds super delicious!

After the potato is deep fried, it is sliced open and stuffed with sweet corn, mushrooms, sausage pieces, chicken strips and topped with hard boiled eggs. Then, it is drenched in the flavourful cheesy sauce and drizzled with mayonnaise to make it even more yummy. The tantalising potato is finished with a sprinkle of spring onions for the complete experience. Mmm, can’t wait to try it!
You can buy just the potato for an a la carte price of RM9.80 but for RM12.50, you have the option of getting the potato set, which comes with Lemon Ai-Yu Jelly that is bound to make your tummy really happy.
