When you see a house with colourful canopies and tables on the road, you know it will be a big party!

In a TikTok video that has gone viral with 2 million views, we see the true Malaysian spirit between neighbours of different races in Jenjarom, Selangor.

The TikTok video was uploaded by 33-year-old Siti Nur Ashikin, a takaful agent.

In the 7-second clip, she talks about how her Chinese neighbour had organised a big birthday party for their child but did not invite Ashikin and her family as they primarily serve non-halal food.

Ashikin did not think much of it and observed the festivities from her own home. Soon after, her neighbour came over and told her not to buy food for dinner as he had ordered KFC for them!

When she received the food, Ashikin felt overwhelmed. She told WORLD OF BUZZ,

“I did not expect my neighbours to be so kind. Organising a party costs a lot. They even gave us burgers and chicken. Everything is not cheap.”

After processing this, the takaful agent is thankful to them and appreciates the effort that they put in. So to give back, Ashikin will be getting her mother to fry up some of their neighbour’s favourite bihun!

Adding to that, she also told us that her neighbours informed her that there was going to be a party about 1 to 2 weeks beforehand.

This little incident has undoubtedly warmed our hearts and showed us that it doesn’t take much to foster the true Malaysian spirit!
