Life as a stray is always tough. There are thousands of stray cats in Malaysia because their owners can’t care for them anymore or simply because they don’t have owners at all. So as human beings, what can we do to save them?

TikTok user @ffjkento took it upon himself to make it his mission to rescue as many cats as possible in Kelantan as he received information about stray cats in the area being taken and thrown away.

@ffjkento shares how his decision caught the attention of Pertubuhan Prihatin Haiwan Kelantan, who lent him a helping hand in rescuing the stray cats.

His act of kindness was motivated by receiving a complaint about stray cats possibly being taken away because the area was going to host a food festival.

He also noted that following the meeting with Pasir Mas District Council, a decision was made to send the stray cats to a shelter that will be opened soon.

“It’s better to keep the cats safe rather than throwing them away and letting them starve.”

It has been reported that the shelter in Kelantan will soon open in Pasir Mas under the non-governmental organization Pertubuhan Prihatin Haiwan Kelantan.

The video has now received over 62k likes and has garnered attention from netizens online, sharing their thoughts on the situation.

“Could someone please build a large shelter for these stray cats and turn the place into an attraction in Malaysia?”

“It’s good to know that the stray cats are being sent away to the shelter instead. Normally, in cases like this, they would just leave them to die.”

“Usually, I’d take the stray cats back to my house, but I can’t afford to bring them all. I could only manage to bring home 3 of them.”
