The travel ban and Movement Control Order are necessary steps to be taken to curb the spread of Covid-19. However, because of this, pets are being left at home and not being taken care of for a long time. These poor things could possibly die of starvation.

Thankfully for one dog, his owner happened to have a very concerned neighbour who has gone the extra mile to feed him. In a video that was shared on Twitter, local radio DJ, Raam, climbed over the gate so that he could approach the dog to feed it.

Upon seeing the dogs, we can see that they have not eaten for a long time. They could barely walk and has also become skinny. Initially, there were a bit scared by the presence of the neighbour but as soon as they saw the food, they were wagging their tails. Raam even helped to fill up their bowls with water.

We are touched by the kind gesture of the neighbour. For everyone out there, if your neighbours are not home, do check if their pets are being cared for. Otherwise, if you can, please feed them. In these dire times, humans are not the only ones suffering; our furry friends are too.
