A friend in need is a friend indeed, and we can all stand to lend each other a hand during times of crisis like the one we are in now. As Malaysia’s number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise, the government has since enforced a Movement Control Order, which has prevented the travel of Malaysians across any national border, including Singapore.

As such, one kind netizen, who noticed that his neighbour hadn’t been home in quite some time, decided to take it upon himself to help feed his neighbour’s dog, who thankfully was allowed to roam about in the front porch of the deserted home.

Jiran Depan Rumah Aku Rasa Terkandas Dekat Sg Xdapat Balik…. Sehari 2kali Aku Bagi Makan Anjing Peliharaan Dia Ni…. Dulu Tengok Aku Pun Xboleh Sekarang Manja Yang Amat2….Update : Air jangan Risau, kawan dah sediakan.. Cuma xde dalam video!!

Despite being Muslim, netizen Muhammad Faiz said that he assumed his Chinese neighbour who works in Singapore wasn’t able to get back into Malaysia in time before the Movement Control Order closed the Causeway, as he hasn’t been seen for a number of days.

Worried about the welfare of his neighbour’s pet dog, he decided that he would make an effort to ensure that the poor animal receives food and water until its owner can return home. Since then, he has been making daily trips to his neighbour’s house to feed the starving dog.

“At first, it tended to be pretty aggressive and would bark whenever strangers approached its owner’s house and car.

“But after two or three times of feeding him, he gradually became more and more friendly,” said Muhammad Faiz to FMT.

In the video, it can be seen that the dog was already pacing slowly back and forth as Faiz approaches the gate with food in hand, before feeding it by laying the food on the ground.

The video of him feeding his neighbour’s dog has since caught the attention of Malaysians all across the nation, with many praising him for lending a helping hand to his fellow neighbour during times of crisis.

We commend Mr Faiz for his kindness during this difficult time, and hope that his neighbour will be able to return back to Malaysia soon!
