Wedding proposals are often a well-planned surprise. Some proposals take place at the breezy beach, while others happen at restaurants with other patrons witnessing the majestic moment.
A Malaysian TikToker and radio host, Arieff Yong, on the other hand, reserved the entire cinema hall for his wedding proposal. On his Instagram post @arieffyong, which was also shared by his Spanish girlfriend Sylvia Good, Arieff shared how he curated his wedding proposal and played the pre-recorded proposal video on the big screen in one of the cinema halls.
And there is a reason why Arieff chose February 10 as the proposal date.
“If you remember, this is the date when we said I love you to each other for the 1st time. I want it to be a date that we’ll remember for a lifetime,” Arieff said in the proposal video.
Arieff continued to express how much Sylvia’s presence has made his life better, as well as making him a better person.
“In your presence, I found my haven – a place I belong to.”
When the video was playing, Arieff was not at Slyvia’s side. When they both entered the cinema hall, the trailers and advertisements played as usual and when it was time, Arieff “excused himself” to the washroom. It was a cue for himself to play the proposal video, and Sylvia watched the entire video, with tears rolling down her cheek.
“Will you marry me, Sylvia?”
Arieff immediately made his entrance soon after the end of the video. He knelt before Slyvia and asked her the big question.
“Will you marry me, Sylvia?” to which, of course, she nodded!
The lovebirds then shared an emotional hug after the successful wedding proposal. Arieff Yong and Sylvia Good are officially engaged to each other!
On Sylvia’s TikTok post @sylviagood, she also shared the screenshot of a conversation with her friend a couple of years back before she met Arieff, where Sylvia hinted that she might like Arieff if he was a funny man.
The rest is history.
