After this, you won’t look at any packet drinks the same way again.

A father was recently shocked beyond words when he discovered a slimy black jelly-like substance in his son’s packet drink. This incident happened in Triang, Pahang.

According to Sinchew, the father known as Tan told reporters that he had earlier went for lunch with his son and bought the kid a packet drink. Halfway sipping through the beverage, the child felt something soft and spongy coming up in the straw.

“At that time, we were on our way back home. I immediately cut open the packet after reaching home and saw many black lumps in it.”

“As for the elongated object in the straw, it was slimy and soft to touch. It doesn’t look like a cloth, insect, or human excretion, but it still looked gross nonetheless,” Tan said.

Following the incident, Tan monitored his son’s health closely as he was worried that the black lumps may be poisonous. Luckily, the kid didn’t suffer from any vomiting nor diarrhoea. Phewww…

Tan further elaborated that nothing was out of place in terms of the taste. “If it wasn’t for the black lumps that got stuck in the straw, my son would’ve finished the whole packet”, he said.

The father also clarified that the compromised beverage wasn’t expired, as the best-before date was on 26 March 2019. At the time of writing, the brand of the packet drink has yet to be disclosed.

So guys, if you feel like there are ‘added ingredients’ in your packet drink and it’s not a soya cincau beverage, you might want to cut it open for inspection, just in case!
