Love is a timeless entity that continues to strive over aeons; some may even say that love is what keeps us alive.
Celebrating love and life, this elderly couple decided to commemorate their golden wedding anniversary in the sweetest way possible – they tied the knot, again!
Asian people are not very familiar with this tradition but in the West, it’s common to sometimes exchange vows again in order to remind one another of the beautiful journey they embarked on together.

Therefore, after five decades of being together, the adorable couple from Seremban decided to celebrate their love and life by “getting married again”. Awwwh :’)
Accompanied by their families and friends, Siong and Kim had a traditional Chinese wedding on 29 December 2018. What made this wedding even more beautiful was that Siong sat in his own car to fetch his bride; compared to their first wedding where he had to borrow someone else’s car to fetch Kim.

The event was made more memorable as their children and grandchildren were also present as their bridesmaids and groomsmen. This is just too sweet.
As for Siong and Kim? Well, they were a handsome couple as they looked amazing in their wedding clothes.
Siong looked dapper in his mandarin-collared white shirt paired with a black jacket and pants while Kim looked like a dream in a traditional red embroidered jacket and skirt (which is commonly know as Kua).

Since it was a traditional Chinese wedding, there were also ceremonial customs – like the tea ceremony and gate-crashing – which happened during the event.
Mothership reported that the gate-crashing ceremony got a little interesting when the bridesmaids decided to give Siong and his boys a hard time before allowing him to see his lovely bride.
Some of the ridiculously fun things that they asked Siong and his boys to do were:
- Putting lipstick on for some of the boys

- Saying “I love you” in multiple languages. This was a task for Siong.
The game got more personal and interesting when the bridesmaids asked Siong what attracted him to Kim. In response, he said he was very enchanted by her beautiful long hair but he quickly said that he loved her personality too. That was a close call!
Finally, the bridesmaids allowed Siong to see his anxious bride after defeating all the obstacles and giving out some “red packets”. He then celebrated his victory by sharing a kiss with his beautiful bride. My heart cannot handle how adorable this couple is!

Right after the wedding, the couple also hosted a rather fancy reception with decorations in a red and gold palette.

During their reception, the couple opted to wear Western attires as Siong appeared in a white coat and bowtie while Kim dazzled in a white ballgown.
