While many of us are trying to earn as much as possible to afford luxurious houses, expensive cars and the latest gadgets, there are also people out there who can barely afford a simple watch.

What would you do if you see a boy wearing a watch made out of paper?

Mfa Bob took to his Facebook account to showcase how he stumbled upon a boy wearing a paper watch that he had made for himself and decided to buy him a real one.

Watch 1

He wrote, “He likes watches so much, he made one out of paper. Allahuakbar, so sad. I immediately brought him to a watch shop and told him to choose one, it would be my treat. He wouldn’t stop asking if I was for real. He asked me to take some crackers as compensation as he couldn’t afford to pay for the watch. I told him it was okay, it’s my treat. Just pray for my health and livelihood, and he immediately started praying. Alhamdulillah.”

Watch 3

The boy with his uncle in a wheelchair.

“When the boy put on the watch, his uncle started tearing up. The boy asked, ‘Is this for real?’. I said yes, it’s a gift. He immediately started crying. Even for me, the tears came automatically. It’s been a while since I’ve been this touched. Remember, my friends. When we feel burdened, there are others who are more burdened.”

Watch 5

With Covid-19 on the rise again, a lot of Malaysians are struggling to afford simple things and are finding it difficult to make a living. The least we can do is support them as much as we can by purchasing food and other items from street vendors such as this boy and his uncle.

Thank you, Abang Bob, for bringing making their day and for renewing our faith in humanity.
