MOHE Announces Public Uni Entry Results for STPM 2023, Over 70k Applicants Receive Offer

Some 2 months after the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) 2023 was released in which the highest-ever national CGPA was recorded, the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) today announced the result of their public university entry applications.

In a statement, MOHE said that applicants can check their results for entry into the 2023/2024 Academic Calendar from now until 5pm on 16 September via the UPUPocket mobile application or via these links:


Furthermore, each successful applicant can accept or reject the application starting tomorrow (8 September) until 16 September via each public university’s respective website. An offer letter will be issued beginning tomorrow for those who accept the offer.

Speaking of which, MOHE revealed that it has received 118,143 applications via the official UPUOnline portal.

From that amount, 70,156 applicants have successfully been offered a place in public universities.Β Of these 70,156 successful applicants, 24,846 are male while 45,310 are female.

Besides that, there are 1,098 Bachelor’s degree programmes being offered for the 2023/2024 Academic Calendar session, amounting to 89,102 spots. Of the 89,102 spots, 72,772 are direct via UPUOnline while the other 16,300 are from feeder candidates via each public university.

To those who didn’t receive an offer, you can submit an appeal via the UPUOnline website from now until 5pm on 16 September. The appeal result would be subject to any vacant spots available following the registration of new students in the academic calendar.
