Recently, in a post shared by PAS organ Harakah Daily, Rantau Panjang MP Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff shared how she had used her own money to supply water to certain areas in locations within her constituency that were facing water supply problems.

According to the report,  Siti Zailah had prepared a large water tanker which she had filled up with water from a fire hydrant to send to the affected villages.

However, despite her efforts, it appears as if it has gone down badly as she had recently received flak from the local government development ministry.

Local government development minister Nga Kor Ming has stated that legal action will be taken against Siti Zailah for her actions as it was a very irresponsible act.

According to BERNAMA, he added that his ministry will conduct a thorough investigation into her claim that was reported by Harakah Daily.

“The water source from the fire hydrant is used to extinguish fires and not for daily consumption.”

“If everyone takes the water from the fire hydrant, then what will happen if there is a fire? This should not have occurred,” he told reporters after officiating the “Larian Bersama Bomba” programme organised by the fire and rescue department in Ipoh last night.
