Minister of Home Affairs, Hamzah Zainudin, Tests Positive For Covid-19
The Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, has confirmed that he tests positive for Covid-19.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Home Affairs today (11 January), Hamzah Zainuddin will undergo a quarantine period according to the recommendations and close monitoring by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

Astro Awani reported that all close contacts of Hamzah Zainudin from 8 to 11 January 2021 are requested to come forward for screening at the nearest District Health Office.
“Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin would like to thank all those who have prayed for his recovery and apologises for all the difficulties that have arisen over this development,” the media statement said.
Previously, two ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economic Affairs) Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd were among those confirmed positive for COVID-19.
