These medical frontliners put their lives on the line every day to make sure our loved ones return to us safe and healthy. They go above and beyond to do their part in flattening the curve and securing the rakyat from this Covid-19 pandemic. The least that we can do for them is listen.

“Sit at home. Please follow the government’s instructions. Don’t go out… Social distancing is so important and it’s why we need to have this Movement Control Order,” said a frontline staff member who couldn’t help but shed tears from the diagnostic lab of Hospital Tuanku Chancellor Muhriz during live broadcast, AWANI 7:45, in front of national television, as reported by Astro Awani.

“We sacrifice our lives and time with family for you all. So please help us. You take care of yourselves, stay at home, and we will fight Covid-19,” said an emotional Noor Hamiza Gulam, a techonologist at the medical lab between tears as she shared how her duty has kept her away from her family.

Noor Hamiza was given the ‘responsibility’ with special permission in this live broadcast to be honest and open about her emotions and what these frontliners face on a daily basis at work to curb the spread of the virus in the country. The heartbroken frontliner said she wants nothing more than for the public to stay at home and follow instructions so everyone, including those working at the front, can return to their loved ones as per usual. She is just one of the thousands of frontliners who work tirelessly every day for the rest of us.

“Is the reality and risk of transmitting this Covid-19 epidemic not enough to be a source of concern for the people in this country?”

For the sake of your loved ones and these brave real-life heroes, please obey the MCO. The fate of the nation depends on it.
