Malaysians Can Visit The New FREE Arts & Lights Exhibition in KL Till 11 Feb!

By now, you would’ve probably come across some incredibly aesthetic photos on your Instagram feed from the famed Arts & Lights exhibition that took place in Icon City, PJ last year.

Well, if you’re a fan of this insanely gorgeous exhibition or maybe you missed the exhibition last year, we’ve got great news for you!

The Arts & Lights exhibition is back with brand new themes, attractive new installations and brand new locations!!! This is all happening from today till 11th Feb!

This exhibition is done up by Mah Sing and here’s what you can expect from the new installations:

M Centura Sales Gallery, Sentul

At this Arts & Lights Rainbow Riot themed exhibition, visitors can expect a kaleidoscope of colours that will delight and mesmerize in equal measure. So don’t miss out on the brand new installations that are sure to turn any boring, old Instagram feed into the most magnificent and groovy sight.

Here’s what you can expect:

1. Tree of Colours

If you thought the yellow coloured wishing tree at Icon City was cool, then you have to check out this multicoloured one in Sentul! Complete with colourful lighting and ribbons draped all around you, you’re sure to get a bunch of awesome photos here.

 

2. Deerby Love

Forget rainbows and unicorns!

Make sure you grab your bae and take some lovey-dovey photos here with this majestic deer and, of course, the rainbow coloured hearts in the background.

 

3. Rainbow Drops

Always wanted to take a photo under the rain? Well, here’s your chance! Sort of.

Sit on the giant swing, lie on the floor, just get creative and have fun with this adorable backdrop.

 

4. Tappity Tap

A must-have at all Arts & Lights exhibitions! Tap these balls and watch them change colours and have a ball of a time (no pun intended) taking photos and Boomerangs here!

 

5. Rainbow Vortex

Here’s the place for you to have your head in the clouds (literally), and get sucked into a rainbow vortex like none other. This slightly trippy and extremely colourful installation is sure to attract some likes on Instagram!

 

6. Lolly Land

Bring out your inner child at this installation and take photos with life-sized candy canes and lollies! Don’t eat them though!

M Vertica Sales Gallery, Cheras

This Arts & Lights gallery is Speakeasy themed, where visitors will be taken back to the nostalgic era of the 1920’s in all its grit and glory. Also, if you’re a fan of the Great Gatsby, this is the place for you!

1. The 20’s

Take some fancy-schmancy photos here and if you’re worried you’re not dressed for the occasion, don’t worry! Make full use of the vintage props that are already prepared and fully immerse yourself into the life of the rich and famous from back in the day.

 

2. Old Shanghai

In case you’ve ever wondered what Shanghai was like in the 20’s, you can get a glimpse of it right here. A combination of olden-days props and photos, plus modern-day neon lights, it couldn’t get anymore hipster than this!

 

3. Guilty as Charged

Here’s your chance to get a taste of prison life and take mugshots without actually getting arrested! This would make for a pretty bad ass profile picture too if you asked us!

 

4. The Execution

The room is complete with smoke machines and bullet holes in the walls!

 

5. Silent Night

It’s always a silent and starry night here. Hop into the hot air balloon and take photos among the fluffy, brightly lit clouds and reach for the stars while you’re at it.

 

6. Prohibition

Complete with whiskey bottles, vintage suitcases, barrels and a gramophone, this installation definitely highlights the smokey and jazzy speakeasies of the 1920’s.

 

7. Speed Capsule

Enter the Speed Capsule by Maxis and let photographers snap awesome photos of you getting blown away (literally) by the insane Maxis internet speed! The installation is complete with a wind turbine for the ultimate “blown away” effect!
