The power of the Internet is so potent these days that it could help spread the truth like nobody’s business.

Norshaheera Jamaludin was unfortunate enough to suffer a massive loss after she was cheated by a dishonest mechanic, Lobak Merah reported.

Frustrated by the deceit, she could only take it to social media to warn others not to fall prey to such a scam too.

She had visited the workshop located next to a temple in Sungai Petani and shared the incident online on July 1, 2017.

Apparently, the horrible mechanic charged her a whopping RM4,010 just to change her 660cc Kancil’s carburetor!

The shop filled in a receipt with items that they so-called changed for Norshaheera even though they actually didn’t change anything at all.

In fact, her Kancil’s carburetor was untouched too!

Scam 6

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time she had sent her car to the unethical workshop. Prior to this, she had sent her Proton there for some fixing too.

At that time, she didn’t notice anything suspicious. Perhaps, that’s why they thought they could cheat her this time?

When Norshaheera’s post went viral online, many people shared that they too were cheated by this workshop before.

Scam 2

One unfortunate man commented that his car broke down in the middle of the road. He explained,

“The tow car brought my car to this workshop. When I went there the next day, my car’s engine was taken out.

“It was also a Kancil and when I asked where are all the things that they’ve taken out, they pretended to look for the parts but then said they couldn’t find them anymore.

“So in the end I HAD to pay RM1,000.”

We should all be more vigilant in the future when visiting 3rd party workshops. We never know when they’re out to scam us!
