Malaysia Named Country With The 4th Best Architecture in Asia, Above Hong Kong, S. Korea & Taiwan!

Malaysia’s architecture brilliantly combines cultural and traditional elements, evident in its stunning skyscrapers and vibrant temples, offering a sight that never ceases to amaze!

Each building showcases Malaysia’s rich history and its drive towards progress. With that being said, Malaysia was recently ranked 4th on the list of Asian countries with the best architecture.

Insider Monkey says the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur have received 20.14 million tourists with 30,000 reviews on Trip Advisor, making them the second-best-rated architectural landmark in the country.

China leads Asia in architecture, attracting 65.73 million tourists annually. Thailand follows closely in 2nd place with 28.15 million tourists, while Japan ranks 3rd with 25.07 million tourists drawn to its architectural wonders.

Tourism in Asia is expected to flourish!

In a 2018 case study conducted by researchers from the University of Technology in Sydney, the Dr. Chau Chak Wing building was examined to assess potential tourist interest.

The study indicated that the building had the potential to generate between AUD 48.8 million (RM 148.4 million) to AUD 97.6 million (RM 297.8 million) in tourism revenue annually.

The study also highlights the impact of architectural landmarks in tourism, particularly in Asia, celebrated for its diverse and unique architectural styles across different countries.

Data provided by Tripadvisor, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRIP) confirms that that tourism in the Asian region is projected to thrive in the coming months of 2024.

1. China – 65.73 million

2. Thailand – 28.15 million

3. Japan – 25.07 million

4. Malaysia – 20.14 million

5. India – 27.91 million

6. Hong Kong – 17.16 million

7. Macau – 14.23 million

8. Vietnam – 12.60 million

9. South Korea – 11.03 million

10. Taiwan – 6.49 million
