Veteran actor Jalil Hamid was reported to have passed away peacefully in his sleep at 12:30 PM earlier today (4 May).
The sombre news was shared by his daughter, Afiqah Jalil, who posted about her father’s passing on her Instagram Story.

Sinar Harian reported that Afiqah confirmed her father was at home at the time of his passing.
“Please recite Al-Fatihah for my father. My father has passed away,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
In a separate Instagram Story, she shared that the solat jenazah (funeral prayer) for her late father will be held at Masjid Al-Munawwarah in Shah Alam. He will be laid to rest after Asr prayers at the USJ21 Cemetery in Subang Jaya.
