Lamborghini & Porsche Among 92 Luxury Cars Seized in JPJ Operation on Road Offenses

A total of 241 luxury vehicles have been inspected, and action was taken against 92 of them under Ops Luxury since July until now.

Kuala Lumpur JPJ Director, Hamidi Adam, said the department also issued 401 notices, including vehicle seizures and various technical and documentation offenses.

He stated that among these, 307 JPJ(P)22 notices were issued, 92 vehicles were seized under Section 64, one interrogation under Section 114, and one action under Section 224 of the Land Public Transport Act (APAD) 2010.

ā€œThe recorded offenses include 45 drivers without a CDL, one with a fake CDL, 177 cases of expired or missing Motor Vehicle Licenses (LKM), 160 without insurance, and 10 vehicles without registration plates.”

ā€œIn addition, six cases involved displaying another vehicle’s registration number, and two cases of operating without an Operator’s License,ā€ he said in a statement.

He added that this week, several luxury vehicles, including a Lamborghini Aventador and a Porsche 911, were also seized for various offenses.

He emphasised that enforcement operations will continue to ensure compliance with LKM, insurance, driving licenses, and technical aspects involving luxury vehicles.

ā€œJPJ Kuala Lumpur reaffirms its full commitment to ensuring road user safety remains a top priority,ā€ he said.
