It started as a playful rivalry. For weeks, ZUS COFFEE’s own Blue Buddy and Mamee Monster’s wacky Monster have been trading good-natured jabs on social media over whose store rules Jonker Street. What does a wacky blue monster and a curious blue coffee cup have in common? At first glance, perhaps not much. One is Malaysia’s beloved crunchy noodle snack, one is the nation’s favourite affordable coffee companion. Now, these two homegrown brands are coming together to celebrate a simple truth Malaysians know best: we may be different, but when we come together, we can be ‘Lain Tapi NGAM’.

In conjunction with Malaysia’s Merdeka celebration, Mamee Monster and ZUS COFFEE have joined forces in a collaboration that goes beyond two brands. It is a celebration of the shared spirit that unites Malaysians across different tastes, routines and personalities — reminding us that our diversity is not what divides us, but what makes us uniquely Malaysian.

Bringing this idea to life, Mamee Monster and ZUS COFFEE have created a series of limited-edition experiences that invite Malaysians to celebrate their differences through familiar local favourites — combining nostalgia, flavour, collectibles and everyday moments in a way that feels unexpected, playful and proudly Malaysian.

  • Limited-edition Mamee Monster x ZUS COFFEE packs, featuring a buy-and-win contest where consumers stand a chance to win 1 year’s worth of ZUS COFFEE, exclusive ZUS® Chubee™ Edisi Terhad tumblers and 15% ZUS COFFEE vouchers.
  • A limited-edition Mamee Monster Nasi Lemak flavour, inspired by one of Malaysia’s most iconic dishes and available exclusively in Mamee Monster x ZUS COFFEE 10-Pack. The packs also come in four collectible collaboration designs for consumers to discover and collect.
  • Three exclusive ZUS COFFEE x Mamee Monster beverages: Blue Ocean Soda, Berry Blue Chocolate and Velvet Blue Smoothie, bringing together bold flavours and a playful blue twist that comes from natural blue spirulina, inspired by the collaboration. Behind it sits a mixed berry base of apple, strawberry and cranberry. Each sip opens with a soft elderflower aroma, then turns bright and refreshingly tart. Available at all ZUS COFFEE outlets from 17 August to 16 September 2026.

“Lain Tapi NGAM”, a first-of-its-kind Dual Cup at ZUS COFFEE that serves two drinks side by side in a single cup. Pair Blue Ocean Soda with Iced Spanish Latte, or Blue Ocean Soda with Pink Lemonade. Each drink is a favourite on its own, but together they create a whole new way to sip, switch and share. It is a playful take on the campaign spirit of Lain Tapi NGAM, where two different things turn out to be a perfect match. Available at 100 selected outlets across Klang Valley, Melaka, Penang and Johor for a limited-time only.

The all-new ZUS COFFEE x Mamee Monster collection brings the beloved snack brand’s playful spirit to life through an exclusive lineup of lifestyle collectibles. The range features:

  • The ZUS Chubee Tumbler, available in two collectible designs — “Best Buddies” and “Lain Tapi NGAM”
  • ZUS x Mamee Monster Chubee Cup Sleeve
  • ZUS x Mamee Monster Chubitz
  • ZUS x Mamee Monster Stainless Steel Frozee
  • ZUS x Mamee Monster 2-in-1 Pouch – Lain Tapi NGAM
  • ZUS x Mamee Monster Lain Tapi NGAM Mid-Crew Socks
  • A limited-edition Mamee Monster Plushie Gift Box

Available while supplies last. The collection will be available starting 17 August 2026 at ZUS’s official e-commerce store, as well as at select ZUS outlets nationwide, while stocks last.

“Mamee Monster has always been about bringing fun, flavour, and a little bit of mischief into everyday snacking. With ZUS COFFEE, we saw an opportunity to create something truly Malaysian — a collaboration that may look unexpected at first, but makes complete sense once Malaysians experience it. ‘Lain Tapi NGAM’ captures exactly that feeling: different brands, different personalities, but one shared love for bold local flavour and joyful moments,” said How Yuan Yi, Chief Marketing Officer at Mamee-Double Decker.

“Being a brand made in Malaysia, ZUS believes quality beverages should be part of Malaysians’ everyday lives — accessible, familiar, and always evolving with local tastes because communities are where innovation lives. This collaboration with Mamee Monster allows us to celebrate Malaysia in a fun and unexpected way, while bringing together two brands that Malaysians know, love, and connect with in different parts of their day. It is a partnership that reflects the diversity, creativity, and shared sense of humour that make Malaysia so special,” said Jennifer Sim, Head of Marketing (Malaysia & Singapore) at ZUS COFFEE.

The Mamee Monster x ZUS COFFEE limited-edition campaign packs are available in three flavours – BBQ, Chicken, and Hot & Spicy. They can be found at all major supermarkets, hypermarkets, mini-markets, petrol marts and convenience stores nationwide, as well as Mamee Jonker House in Malacca. They can also be purchased via MAMEE’s official store on Lazada and Shopee.
