A recent post has taken the internet by storm after a Malaysian man recalled the moment he found a note left by an unknown person on his motorcycle.

Taking to Threads, Heus (@heusfauzanheusairy_) shared the incident, saying his helmet went missing while he was visiting and had parked at a mall in Petaling Jaya.

Malaysian left dumbfounded after his helmet was “borrowed” by a stranger

As the story goes, when Heus went back to his motorcycle to head home to Klang, he found a note left by a stranger.

“I went to a mall in Petaling Jaya. I was about to head home, and I found this note. So how am I supposed to get back to Klang?” Heus joked.

In the note, the stranger admitted to taking his helmet but assured him it would be returned the next day.

To make things even funnier, the stranger explained that they did it because their own helmet had been stolen.

“Hi brother, I’m sorry but I had to borrow your helmet for one night. Tomorrow, I will pass your helmet to the security guard. My helmet also got stolen,” the note read.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, when asked if Heus had gotten his helmet back, he replied jokingly:

“I still haven’t gotten my helmet back. But my advice is, if you’re going to take it, at least leave a candy or something sweet in return.”

He also added that he’s not sure whether the person had actually left the helmet at the guard post, as he hasn’t gone back to the mall yet due to the distance between Klang and Petaling Jaya.

“I’ll just consider it a gift from me to the stranger. At the moment, I’m only using a ‘steng helmet’ (half helmet). Once I get my salary, I’ll buy a new one.”
