Cinemagoers at a mall in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur recently had their movie-watching experience ruined due to an irresponsible act by a patron.

Shared by @amofficialmy or Adam on Twitter, a short video of the incident has gone viral with over 5,996 likes and more than 3,838 retweets as of the time of writing.

In the video, you can see patrons of the cinema leaving the hall while the movie was still playing on the screen. An emergency alarm siren can also be heard in the background.

In the tweet, it was revealed that Adam and the rest of the patrons had to leave because someone vaped inside one of the cinema halls and triggered the fire alarm.

Adam shared,

“Witnessed something idiotic at the cinema yesterday. The emergency alarm was triggered causing all halls to turn into chaos because someone vaped inside the cinema hall. Troublesome.”

Thankfully, the cinema allowed all patrons to return to their halls after the incident. Well, except for the individual who vaped, of course.

Speaking of which, the perpetrator was apprehended by the cinema after being identified through CCTV footage. However, it is unknown what action was taken against the individual.
