Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia has revealed that a new cluster has been detected in Depoh Tahanan Sementara Imigresen (DTSI) Putrajaya. 97 samples were taken at the detention centre and two of them came back positive.

Another 54 cases showed negative results, while 41 cases were still pending test results. Apart from that, KKM also clarified that only the DTI Semenyih has a positive case involving a local citizen, while the other DTI / DTSI were all foreigners.

Although the number of cases among those in the detention centres is increasing, the spread is under control as they are currently being contained as monitored in these centres. Hopefully, with the fast action that was taken by KKM, the foreigners who have contracted the virus can be cured soon and surely KKM is taking good care of them.

The Covid-19 cases among Malaysians are low now but it does not mean we can take it easy with our movement. We still need to make sure that all SOPs be followed as the war against the pandemic is not over yet!
