Taking to his Twitter account, Khairy today asserted that daily cases will exceed 15,000 and urged senior citizens to take the booster Covid-19 vaccine shot if they haven’t done so already. In the tweet, the Health Minister stressed,

Khairy made the statement in in response to a Twitter post by Health Director-General (DG) Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah who shared the susceptible, exposed, infectious, and recovered (SEIR) model image of the daily Covid-19 infections and forecasts cases between Aug 31 and March 31 this year.

Furthermore, Khairy in another tweet also called on the public to take their booster shots if they haven’t done so and stressed that the main purpose of the vaccine was to reduce the severity of symptoms should you contract the virus.
