On May 6, a bomb blast occurred in Narathiwat, southern Thailand, and 2 Malaysian women sustained injuries from the blast.

As a result, the chief police of Kelantan, Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun, has asked those in Kelantan who wish to visit the neighbouring country to reconsider their trips.

“Postpone your trip to Thailand if there are no important matters.”

He added that if the people had no choice but to go, they should always remain vigilant, reported Sinar Harian.

“Before this, the bombings were always in the rural areas but this time, it has already made their way to towns and places where there is a high density of people.”

Elaborating more on his point, he said: “We’re worried that there will be a wrong place at the wrong time situation.”

At about 9:35 pm local time on Phu Pha Phakdi Road, Mueang Narathiwat district, 2 Malaysian women from Kelantan were walking along the road when suddenly, an explosion occurred.

The bomb was concealed in a motorcycle and coincidentally exploded when the 2 women were there. 5 motorcycles went up in flames due to the explosion.

Thankfully, the women sustained only light injuries.
