A rider in Kedah had his motorcycle seized after heavily modifying it, with the Road Transport Department (JPJ) later dubbing it the “futuristic motorcycle.”
According to JPJ, the Honda C70 was found to have multiple traffic offences during an enforcement operation at KM1, Jalan Tun Razak on 30 June.

Kedah man’s motorcycle fitted with 10-inch Android media player
According to Kosmo!, Kedah JPJ Director Stien Van Lutam said enforcement officers stopped the motorcycle at about 8:00 PM, with the rider identified as a 25-year-old man.
The modifications included a 10-inch Android media player commonly used in cars, speakers, yellow fog lights, and a digital meter. Inspections revealed that the motorcycle had multiple traffic offences, including:
- An expired road tax (LKM) since 2016
- No valid insurance coverage
- Unauthorised modifications
- Still registered under the name of a deceased owner

JPJ issues summonses and seizes motorcycle
Stien added that the rider claimed he had not renewed the road tax and insurance because the motorcycle’s owner had passed away and the Amanah Raya (the official estate administration process) had not yet been completed.
Three summonses were issued, and the motorcycle was later seized under existing legal provisions to ensure only compliant vehicles are allowed on the road.
“JPJ reminded the public to regularly renew road tax and insurance, update vehicle ownership records, and obtain approval for any modifications. Failure to do so may not only lead to enforcement action but could also leave owners personally liable for losses and compensation in the event of an accident.”
