In a few days, it will be 100 days since the current government has taken over. In order to celebrate that, the government has decided to hold an event at the KLCC Convention Center for four days starting from 9 to 12 December.

Besides the many activities, there will also be discount counters for JPJ and PDRM summons.

PDRM has released details on the discounts:

Pdrm Summons Discount

According to the poster, the discounts are only applicable in that limited time frame and at the counter in KLCC.

There is an 80% discount for summons in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya and a 70% discount for summons in states other than KL and Putrajaya.

All summons are applicable to get the discount except these:

  • 2021 accident summons
  • Summons with an NC (non-compoundable) status
  • Summons with a court trial status
  • Summons concerning lorries
  • 2021 summons for cutting into another lane dangerously/cutting queue
  • 2021 summons for using the emergency lane
  • 2021 summons for beating the red light
  • 2021 summons for cutting double white lines
  • Summons for modifying vehicle’s exhaust

Netizens are not happy to attend a crowded event to get the discounts

Many netizens have spoken out and said that this discount should be made available online as we are currently still living in a pandemic and going to a place where there is potentially a large number of people doesn’t seem like a wise thing to do.

Netizens Pdrm Jpj Saman

“Do it online during this Covid-19 season. Why would you want to amass many people?”

“Do it online so that the place will not be packed.”

We certainly hope that the authorities will be able to have an online option for this as well. Like what the netizens say, it does not seem like a good idea to have many people in one place at the same time, even more so when there is a new variant.
