Ismail Sabri’s Son Claims That ‘Friends’ & Job Offers Vanished After His Father Is No Longer PM

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s son, Gaddafi Ismail Sabri, more affectionately known as Dafi has claimed that many of his ‘friends’ no longer contact him after his father was no longer the Prime Minister. Moreover, he also revealed that many job offers he had previously received also suddenly didn’t materialise without any specific reason.

As reported by The Star, the 35-year-old local actor and singer shared that when his father was named the 9th Prime Minister, he suddenly got an influx of people contacting him, even old friends that haven’t kept in touch with him in years. More disappointingly, some of them were bold enough to send him their proposal plans in hopes that Dafi would help them.

Dafi shared,

“When my father was Prime Minister, many sent me direct messages to the extent that I had to spend as long as 5pm to 9am the next day to reply to them. If I don’t respond, I’d be labeled as sombong (arrogant). What more if they approach me politely, so I obliged them.

“I’ve already expected that when my father is no longer the Prime Minister, they would all disappear just like that… I am merely sharing my experience about this. I’m not hurt or offended because I do have people in my life who are with me through thick and thin.”

The former Akademi Fantasia contestant said that he still had job offers but some of those that were agreed upon were simply cancelled. Dafi also stressed that he has never taken advantage of his father’s position.
