Indonesian Couple in Sarawak Positive for Covid-19 Escape Quarantine, Successfully Caught By PDRM
In shocking news to come out of Sarawak, it has been reported that an Indonesian couple that tested positive for Covid-19 had escaped quarantine, leading local police on a city-wide chase. They were said to have fled after undergoing mandatory health screenings as part of their work application process, reports NST.
The couple was thankfully found by members of the police at a residential area near Jalan Matang Baru last night at around 11.15pm.
“Both of them were taken by the Health Ministry’s personnel to the hospital for further action and treatment,” said Sarawak police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail.
It is unclear at this time as to what charges the couple will face for escaping quarantine. They were believed to have escaped when the authorities were busy conducting contact tracing operations.
We hope that this doesn’t result in another new cluster!
