One act of kindness has saved a business that has been running for generations from shutting down, ensuring its survival to serve more customers.

Last week, a Malaysian businessman, Sunny Seow helped a Nasi Lemak vendor in Kulai, Johor by settling her 1 year outstanding rent. In his FB post yesterday, Sunny once again visited the Nasi Lemak stall to enjoy his good plate of food whilst promoting the business.

“Delicious plate of Nasi Lemak with tofu. It’s only RM5.”

Sunny also revealed that after a conversation with the Chairman of MARA, the organisation has agreed to sponsor the rent of the Nasi Lemak vendor.

“The chairman said he has instructed officials to allow the vendor to continue operating and renting the stall which has been used for more than 50 years.”

His kindness has attracted widespread attention and praise, including the Chairman of MARA himself, Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki who expressed his thoughts about Sunny’s act of generosity via his FB post.

“I am deeply touched by his move in coming forward to help the Nasi Lemak vendor who had challenges in settling her outstanding rent.”

Earlier, Sunny revealed that he decided to help the vendor after the latter spoke about the outstanding rent. He also said that he has been visiting the stall for more than 50 years, which has been catering to generations of loyal customers.

We’re glad to hear that the Mak Cik Nasi Lemak is back on track with her business. To those staying in Kulai, have you paid a visit to the Nasi Lemak stall, which is located in the Arked Mara?
