“I felt the building shake”

Berita Harian reported that a resident named M Diviya shared her experience of running out of her office at Medan Istana as soon as she felt the tremor.

The 30-year-old recounted that she was working in her room when she suddenly felt the building shake. She described how the glass doors looked like they were about to shatter.

She also shared that she heard a loud thud coming from the upper floors of the building, prompting her and her colleagues to rush out of the office out of concern for their safety.

After the incident, she quickly reached out to the Department of Mineral and Geoscience (JMG) to report what had happened.

Residents reported that the tremor was felt in multiple locations

Another witness, Noor Zaiti Nabilah Ahmad, shared that she immediately ran out of her law office at Medan Istana as soon as she felt the tremor.

She explained that when she heard the loud noise, her first thought was that it might be a bomb. However, she mentioned that in her 6 years working there, this was the first time she experienced something like this.

According to Berita Harian, a survey on social media showed that many users reported feeling the tremor at various locations, including Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB), Chemor, Perak Stadium, Meru, Falim, and Manjoi.
