There’s always a first time for everything and mistakes are likely to happen during your 1st experience, which is entirely okay. That’s how we learn.

According to Starbuck’s official website, the brand entered the Malaysian market in December 1998. With its nearly 25 years of history, it’s not surprising that many Malaysians have yet to give it a try given their budget, or simply their preference. 2 Malaysians recently decided to finally give Starbucks a try, and 1 of them shared their nervous yet hilarious experience on his TikTok account.

Hazriq and his friend nervously entered the coffee house where they initially “debated” about who should make the order due to shyness. They browsed through the menu online via Hazriq’s phone to look at pictures and decided which was more appetising. Hazriq got his friend a Double Chocolate Chip Frappucino but he preferred to show the barista the picture of the beverage instead because he was unsure about the pronunciation.

“Can I just show you the picture? I don’t know what’s this.”

“Venti is the largest, and Grande is the smallest, right?” Hazriq double-checked with his friend, who had no idea about the sizes as well.

His friend was just smiling and observing the entire process.

And that’s really okay, we used to be like that too when we were 1st exposed to these beverages.

After receiving their drinks, both friends made a quick review of their respective drinks in the car. As for Hazriq’s Lava Muffin Double Chocolate, he loved the drink and he had his own way to describe the taste.

“It’s really good. It’s like you’re eating a cake with a lot of Milo.”

Hazriq’s friend, on the other hand, couldn’t say the same thing about his drink but he tried to be nice by not saying anything harsh about it. Both of them agreed that his drink tasted like medicine.

Speaking to WORLD OP BUZZ, Hazriq said he had to help his friend order because he is an introvert. Hazriq said he has tried a drink from the coffee house in the past but it was their 1st time ordering the drinks by themselves.

“My sister bought it and I just had a few sips. We decided to visit the Starbucks in Bangi to give it a try because I wanted to, and I brought him along.”

“I even asked to add on pearl!”

Hazriq’s TikTok clip gained many reactions from the netizens who found their experience relatable, and some of them shared what it was like during their 1st time.

“I even asked to add on pearl! That was my 1st and last.”

“I was frightened at the counter, and the Internet connection was slow when I browsed through TikTok for the menu.”

“I have yet to try because I don’t know how to order. My husband used to tell me the drinks aren’t good.”

“You both are so cute but yes, those are definitely the reactions during the 1st time.”
