Since the incident, the minister tried to make amends by issuing a public apology to Veveonah. Unfortunately, the student was already on the receiving end of much backlash by then and has noticeably taken a break from posting on her social media accounts.

In her last Facebook post, Veveonah shared the minister’s apology and said how saddened she was that this all went down the way it did. “Honestly, I felt really sad and disappointed by this. I really worked hard for my online examination for the last few months and I never expected it to go viral. This time, I’m viral again but with some bad effects. I don’t know how to deal with negative and bad comments on social media, it hurts.”

After being accused of being a fake student who was “just a Youtuber” that posted her situation for fame, Veveonah has been silent on her Youtube channel-her last post dated nearly a week ago. The last time she posted on Instagram was to prove her student status by taking to IGTV to show evidence of her exam schedule following the false accusations.

All clear, but we need to be fair.

She added that the incident hurt because it discredited the hardships that both she and her batch mates faced as the first bunch to undergo online examinations despite the lack of access they have to an internet connection.

WORLD OF BUZZ is currently speaking with a contact believed to be a source who is directly in contact with Veveonah. At the time of writing, we are waiting for a response from the source. Stay tuned for more updates!

UPDATE: According to the source, Veveonah is disappointed and doesn’t really know how to react to this issue as she believes that the situation is rather serious. However, when asked how she feels about the strong support she has from those who are standing by her, the source told WORLD OF BUZZ that she is glad to know that there are still people who support and trust in her.

As for me, I try to support her as much as I can because I know she’s so sincere and a strong-willed woman,” said the source. As for whether Veveonah’s social media hiatus is here to stay, the source told us that the student is “not the type to spend time on social media” much anyway so the length of her absence is uncertain.
