No matter what height of success we reach, we should never forget those who helped us achieve that. Some of those people would usually be our parents, who sacrificed in every single possible way in order to provide us with the best life even if they have to work hard and skip a few meals here and there. This young man proved that he never forgot his parents especially when he achieved his ambition.

Mohamad Risky Saputra is a 19-year-old trainee at the police training centre (SPN) at Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. A picture of him bowing down to his father in gratitude went viral recently on social media.

Risky’s mother, Sumarni, told KOMPAS.com that her youngest son has always wanted to be a policeman but due to their family’s condition, she told him that they couldn’t afford it. However, Risky simply told that he wanted their blessings.

“I only want your blessings, with your blessings, Insya Allah everything will be easier.”

Sumarni added that her whole family depends on her husband’s sole income of selling gado-gado and sate around their house. At first, even she couldn’t believe that her son passed the selections test and couldn’t contain her joy and excitement. His proud parents added that they will be going to his police appointment ceremony in March in their best clothes!

It’s inspiring to see how Risky persevered against the odds to achieve his dreams all with his parents’ blessings. No matter what happens, just remember that your parents will always be your biggest cheerleader supporting your every step.
