Not too long ago, a photo of a FoodPanda rider who was seen making deliveries using only a bicycle and a plastic basket went viral over social media, with many people praising him for the fact that he was willing to go to such lengths to make an honest living. After all, most of us are typically more acquainted with seeing our delivery riders on motorbikes.
Well, with the power of the Internet on hand, the FoodPanda rider’s plight has now reached the ears of some kind and generous Malaysians. In fact, one netizen has proven to be so generous, he is planning to gift the FoodPanda delivery rider a motorbike to help ease his job!
Netizen @SanjeevanSS, who is, in fact, Dato’ Sri Sanjeevan Ramakrishnan, wanted to extend a helping hand to the man after taking note of the story over social media. Having been homeless himself, he empathised with the man’s situation.
“Never had a single cent in (my) pocket, no food and survived with just pipe water from Court Hill Temple, Pudu.” he said.
His generosity has since caught the attention of many netizens, who lauded him for being willing to go to such lengths to help someone he doesn’t even know at all.
To Dato’ Sri Sanjeevan, we thank you for your kindness and contribution to society, and hope that the abang FoodPanda gets the help he needs!
